Method & assumptions

Enter each assignment, quiz or exam with its grade and weight to get your course average, letter grade and the score you need on the rest.

Worked example

One item per line: name, grade %, weight %: 
  Assignments, 88, 20

Target final grade % (0 to skip): 85
Grading scale: United States (A–F)

→ Current weighted average: 84.13 %
→ Letter grade: B (3)
→ Weight graded so far: 75 %
→ Points earned toward the final grade: 63.1 / 100
→ Average needed on the remaining 25 % for 85 %: 87.6 %
→ Final grade if you score 100 % on the rest: 88.1 %

Limits & important notes

Grades can be percentages or points like 45/50. If the weights add up to less than 100 %, the rest is treated as still to come.
