federal = tax(annual wages − 401(k) − pre-tax − standard deduction); FICA 6.2% (to $184,500) + 1.45% (+0.9%)

Limits & important notes

Uses the 2026 standard deduction and brackets as an annualized withholding estimate (W-4 with no extra adjustments). Local city/county taxes, SDI/PFL programs and tax credits are not included. HOH and MFS use single state brackets.
