Annual gross income: 65,000 Monthly debt payments: 300 → Rent at 30% of gross income: 1,625 → Landlord 40× rule (annual income ÷ 40): 1,625 → With your debts (total debt ≤ 43%): 2,029.17 → Suggested maximum rent: 1,625
